I love your cakes but I would like a different design or flavour, do you make custom cakes?
Yes we do! You can send us an email with your request or fill in the contact form on our website. Keep in mind that we need your request at least 3 weeks in advance.
I sent you an email yesterday but I haven’t received a reply yet! What’s going on?
We aim to answer all email requests within 24 hours (excluding weekends), but we might take a little longer around the holidays or when it’s unexpectedly busy. We are only human ;)
Do you make gluten free cakes?
We can make gluten free versions of most of our cakes, please send us an email with your request or fill in the contact form on our website. Note that we use a lot of gluten in our kitchen so there may be traces of gluten in your cake.
And what about sugar free/healthy cakes?
We don’t do sugar free or ‘healthy’ cakes, we love to use sugar, fat & salt :)
How many days in advance should I order?
Please order at least 3 days in advance. In general, please order sooner rather than later so we have the time to bake you a high quality product :)
I need a cake today! No right now! Maybe tomorrow morning! Can you help me out?
We always have cakes on display at our restaurant, and if you’re lucky we might have a whole one left that fits your needs. Call us during opening hours and our staff will inform you about what’s available.
Can I order a cake to be delivered?
At the moment we don’t offer delivery. In the near future we will offer cake delivery in the Amsterdam area, and postal delivery in the Netherlands for brownies & other sweets.
When can I pick up my order?
You can pick up your order on the chosen pickup date between 12.00-21.00. sometimes it’s possible to come as early as 11.00, you can request an early pick-up in the comments field.
I need to cancel my order, can I get a refund?
We bake our cakes and sweets fresh to order. Because of this, we need to use the following refund rules if for any reason you need to cancel your order:
- Orders cancelled minimum 72 hours before 9.00 on the scheduled pick up date: 100% refund.
- Orders cancelled minimum 24 hours before 9.00 on the scheduled pick up date: 50% refund.
- Orders cancelled within 24 hours before 9.00 on the scheduled pick up date: no refund possible.
Where do I pick up my order?
Our restaurant and cake shop is located at Ceintuurbaan 71H in Amsterdam, de Pijp area. Trams 3, 5, 12 and 24 stop right in front of our door (halte ‘De Pijp’, and metro line 52 stops right on the corner of our street (halte ‘De Pijp’, exit ‘Ceintuurbaan’).
Parking can be a bit tricky in this part of the city, but you will have the best chance in the little side streets surrounding us.
How do I transport my cake?
We will provide a cake box and a nice big bag to carry it in. We recommend coming by car, or walking/public transport. Cakes will not do well hanging on the steer of your bike or in your bike crate.. (of course, brownies & cookies will be fine by bike)
Do I have to keep my cake refrigerated?
If you are serving the cake on the pick-up date it does not need to be refrigerated, honestly, the taste will be even better at room temperature! If you are keeping it for later, please refrigerate and take it out of the fridge a few hours before serving. You can keep most cakes in the fridge for +/- 4 days after pick-up.
Do you do wedding cakes?
Yes we do! We don’t do the giant 5 tier bright white fondant cakes, but we can definitely make you a stylish and tasty cake for your special day. You can send us an email with your request and we’ll get in touch as soon as possible. We will need some time to get everything right so please email your request at least 1 month in advance.
Can you make a custom/bulk order for my event or company?
Definitely! Please send us an email with your request or fill in the contact form on our website and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Can I make a reservation?
Yes please! You can use the pop-up reservation tool on our website. If this doesn’t work for you you can always give us a call during opening hours.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes you can! As long as your furry friend is on a leash it will be fine.
Do you have a kids menu?
We have a special menu for our youngest visitors, containing meal deals, mini mylkshakes, kiddie pancake stacks etc. Our staff will provide your family with a kids menu when you are seated. We do have a very strict ‘kids only’ policy for this menu, so it’s not for grown-ups!
Do you have a high chair/changing table?
We have one high chair in the restaurant, please mention it on your reservation form if you want us to reserve it for you. We also have a changing table in the first one of our toilets.
Do you have gluten free options?
Yes, we have a lot of gluten free options as well as gluten free bread and burger buns. Our staff can inform you of all options. Note that we use a lot of gluten in our kitchen so there may be traces of gluten in your food.
Are your food and drinks available for takeaway?
All of our menu items are available for takeaway, you can order at our counter or call ahead and we will have your order ready when you arrive!
Do you do delivery?
No, sorry. We previously worked with third party delivery partners, but we felt the quality of our food was not up to standard upon delivery because of late pick-ups.
Is everything you serve really vegan?
Yes! 100%! From our sprinkles to our sauces, no worries.
